Shield of Hope Annual Picnic 2010
Our 4th annual Shield of Hope event, a family picnic, took place at Bolton Park on a sunny but brisk Saturday in October.
About 75 people attended to enjoy food, a raffle, and our We Remember You helium balloon release. See a video of the release below.
We send a big thank you to the many people who helped organize and set up the picnic, including VFH volunteers, members of the Broken Hearts, Better Days support group, and family members who arrived early to pitch in. And to Pig Pickin's on Reynolda Road and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Winston-Salem for their financial support. What a blessing!
