Prayer Shawls and Throws
Welcome to our Prayer Shawl and Throw Ministry
Many families tell us the support they receive from the community at our vigils is a very powerful healing force. You can help them take this healing with them in the form of a handmade shawl or throw. Here's how you an help.
You can work individually, join a group, or form your own group. You can make one garment or dozens. There is no deadline. Simply knit or crochet the garment and pray (or sing, chant, meditate, or bless however you wish) for the recipients' healing while you do so. By doing so, you weave your blessings right into the garment, which is then presented to a family member at an upcoming Vigil for Healing.
